Overview
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a leading aeronautical complex in Asia, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Air Traffic Controller Trainees. The selected candidates will receive comprehensive training and will have the opportunity to work at HAL’s Airport Services Centre Division, Bangalore, and Aircraft Division, Nasik.
This recruitment initiative is aimed at attracting highly qualified candidates with a background in engineering to join HAL’s ranks as it continues to contribute to India’s aerospace and defense sector. The candidates will be given a one-year training, consisting of both Basic and On-the-Job Training, and upon successful completion, they will be considered for absorption as Assistant Aerodrome Officers (Grade-I).
Qualification Requirement
To be eligible for the post of Air Traffic Controller Trainee, candidates must fulfill the following qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent (Full Time), 4 years after 10+2, from Institutes/Universities recognized by appropriate statutory authorities in the country.

Aggregate Percentage of Marks:
Candidates should have secured the following minimum percentage of marks in their relevant educational qualifications:
UR/OBC (NCL) Candidates: 70% aggregate marks in all semesters/years
SC/PwBD Candidates: 60% aggregate marks in all semesters/years
Note: The total maximum marks and the total marks obtained for all semesters/years will be summed up to arrive at the aggregate percentage of marks.
Selection Process
The selection process for the Air Traffic Controller Trainee post at HAL involves a written test followed by document verification and a medical examination. Candidates who successfully clear all stages will undergo a one-year comprehensive training program, which includes both Basic and On-the-Job Training. Upon completion, they will be considered for absorption as Assistant Aerodrome Officers (Grade-I).
Note:
The post is not reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category. However, the post is identified suitable for candidates with Spinal Deformity/Spinal Injury (SD/SI) without any associated neurological/limb dysfunction under Locomotor Disability.
Training and Absorption
Selected candidates will undergo a one-year training program, which includes Basic Training and On-the-Job Training, along with Institutional Training. Upon successful completion of the training, the candidates will be considered for absorption as Assistant Aerodrome Officers in Grade-I.
