North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited NEEPCO Apprenticeship 2024 (NEEPCO) is a Schedule –‘A’ “Mini Ratna” Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, actively engaged in planning, designing, and executing power projects in the hydro, thermal, and solar sectors.

For FY 2024-25, NEEPCO invites applications for 135 apprenticeship positions under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various trades across NEEPCO’s plants, projects, and establishments.

Eligibility Criteria

✅ Residential Requirement: Candidate must be a resident of North East India
✅ Educational Qualification:

• Graduate Engineering & Diploma Engineering: Degree/Diploma should not have been completed before 31st March 2023
• Non-Engineering Graduate (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, etc.): Graduation should not have been completed before 31st March 2023
• ITI Trade Apprentices: Must have completed ITI in the relevant trade
  ✅ Mandatory Documents: Aadhaar Card (compulsory), PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport (for online registration)
  ✅ Age Limit: 18 to 28 years as on 01-12-2024 (Relaxation as per Govt. of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-servicemen)
  ✅ Reservation: As per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwD categories

Selection Process

📌 Sourcing of Candidates: Eligible candidates will be sourced from the apprenticeship portal database.
📌 Merit-Based Shortlisting: Selection will be strictly based on merit, considering marks secured in the qualifying degree/diploma.
📌 Preference Criteria:

• First preference will be given to candidates belonging to the state where the power station is located.
• If sufficient candidates are not available from that state, the remaining seats will be filled based on merit from candidates belonging to other North East states.
  📌 Publication of Results:
• The list of selected candidates will be published on www.neepco.co.in.
• Call letters will be sent to selected candidates via their registered email.

Application Steps:

✅ Step 1: Online Registration on NATS Portal
1️⃣ Candidates must enroll/register with the Board of Practical Training (BOPT) via the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal: https://nats.education.gov.in/.
2️⃣ After successful enrollment, candidates will receive a valid enrolment ID.
3️⃣ Candidates possessing both B.Tech and Diploma qualifications must register as Diploma holders if applying for Technician (Diploma) apprenticeship.

✅ Step 2: Apply for NEEPCO Apprenticeship
1️⃣ After obtaining a valid enrollment ID, candidates must log in to the NATS portal using their registered credentials.
2️⃣ Search for NEEPCO Establishment and select the desired apprenticeship stream based on their educational qualifications.
3️⃣ Submit the application and keep a copy for reference.

(Note: No other mode of application will be accepted.)

Application Steps:

✅ Step 1: Enroll on NAPS Portal
1️⃣ Candidates must register with National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
2️⃣ After successful registration, candidates will receive a valid enrolment ID.

✅ Step 2: Apply for NEEPCO Apprenticeship
1️⃣ Log in to the NAPS portal using registered credentials.
2️⃣ Search for NEEPCO Establishment Code: E02161700001.
3️⃣ Select the desired ITI trade and submit the application.
