Essential Educational Qualifications and Experience
Scientific Assistant-B
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
A three-year Diploma in Engineering (after SSC/HSC) or
HSC + a two-year Diploma in Engineering (approved by AICTE).
The Diploma must be in one of the following disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks:
Scientific Assistant-B (Civil) – Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Scientific Assistant-B (Electrical) – Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks.
Scientific Assistant-B (Instrumentation) – Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with at least 60% marks.
Scientific Assistant-B (Electronics) – Diploma in Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks.
Scientific Assistant-B (Mechanical) – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks.
Educational Qualifications for Scientific Assistant-B (Computer Science)
Candidates applying for the Scientific Assistant-B (Computer Science) position must meet one of the following educational qualifications with a minimum of 60% marks:
B.Sc. (Computer Science) with at least 60% marks OR
B.Sc. with at least 60% marks + 1-year Diploma in Computer Science (minimum 60% marks) OR
B.Sc. (Technical) with at least 60% marks + 1-year Diploma in Computer Science (minimum 60% marks).
Note: Candidates who have pursued a Diploma through lateral entry (after SSC + ITI) directly into the second year of the Diploma program are not eligible to apply.
